The Mission

To design and develop a site that would appear to provide e-commerce capabilities. Since most of the client's stock consists of "one of a kind" pieces, a full e-commerce site wasn't feasible. Posh has exclusive Canadian rights to many designer collections and wanted to allow for easy communication with their customers.

The Method

Determine the stock items that can be reordered and thus set up in a specific gallery / e-commerce shopping cart format with appropriate CMS for those specific items. In this case, the Pandora Collection. Next, determine the favorite designers for their jewellery and other accessories. Feature those specific designers together with visual samples of the work. Finally, since designers' popularity changes, it was important that all sections of the site be updatable via a comprehensive CMS.

The Result

Artistech created a Flash site with Galleries to allow for a visually exciting experience for current and potential clients. The site serves as a bridge between their "brick and mortar" boutique and a full e-commerce site. Already, customers are emailing Posh from Calgary and northern B.C. to inquire about specific designer pieces. Posh take digital photos of the specific designer pieces and send them to their customers by email. As a result, customers can buy exquisite, expensive pieces that are actually in stock.
