Front-End Developer

Summary of Position
At Artistech, Front-End Developers take UI designs from our creative team and turn them into functional interfaces for desktop and mobile devices. They work closely with programmers, creatives and interactive producers to ensure all project requirements are being meet.

Skills:

• At least 2+ years of development experience using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with any of the major JavaScript frameworks (eg. JQuery).
• Basic knowledge of any server-side language (eg. PHP).
• Basic knowledge of Flash AS2/AS3.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.).
• Organized and pays attention to detail.
• Desire to learn and to share knowledge.
• Ability to problem solve in a team environment and (at times) wear multiple hats.
• Provide feedback to creatives on usability/accessibility/technical problems.
• Able to 'skin' 3rd party CMS Systems (eg. Concrete5, Drupal, WordPress).

Nice to have (but not required):

• A creative background or a knack for design.
• Experience with 3rd party APIs.
• Understanding of SEO best practices.
• Knowledge or desire to experiment with HTML5 and CSS3.
• CMS integration and development.
• Understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
